Default The late, great...

Terry Kath. Original guitarist for Chicago. (25 or 6 to 4).

Dick Dale, The King of the Surf guitar.

2 that are rarely mentioned until you listen to their stuff.

Vito Bratta

Like White Lion or not, it is impossible to deny that they always had incredibly technical yet masterfully melodic solos in their songs.

Reviving an old thread but I don't think Roy Buchanan was mentioned. Now that guy knew what the blues is all about

Mentioned it before but Rex Carrol is the man!! Didn't get the recognition he deserved because he's been contemporary Christian rock bands.

Blonde reads newspaper headline "3 Brazilian men killed in tragic sky diving accident."

Blonde frantically shouts "oh my god, just how many ARE 3 brazillion??"

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. One of the best guitarists of this generation for sure.
Walk down the right back alley in Sin City, and you can find anything.

That's one guitarist I intend on discovering more. Only know him from some The Mars Volta but know he's contributed so much more. I like what I heard up to now, very talented indeed

Neil Schon (Journey)
Mark Tremonti (Creed, Alter Bridge)

ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!

I'm also a big fan of Luther Dickinson. There's not many people who can play a cigar-box guitar like he does

His solo stuff is really great. If you're interested in checking some of it out I highly recommend "Se dice bisonte, no buffalo", "Cryptomnesia", and "Omar Rodriguez Lopez and John Fruiscante". All three are great. He has so much stuff recorded its insane.
