Anybody get any progress in their orders? Seems there is only a week left till August 1st so I'm curious to see if anybody is getting their stuff.

Nothing here, I'm afraid. I'm pretty much resigned to never seeing my order or a refund. Only a week to go before we hit that deadline and CouchCutter has stated he'll be taking a hike if it isn't all sorted by then. So I guess I'm shit outta luck.

Sent a few e-mails over the past few weeks trying to get the movies I bought - never got a response.

Sent an e-mail on Monday to get a refund instead, and got it on Tuesday. So, I guess that's the way to go.

When did he mention that ? I remember him saying that if they hit the deadline they wouldn't be re-opening the store but were still going to continue processing everything (per post #3666).

Dunno' what you've been reading recently.

Ya I sent him an email a few days ago or so and have yet to hear a response back. Hopefully he gets back to me soon, would like to see what's up with my stuff.

Well, the way I see it is like this. The guy doesn't want to be associated with the store in any way, shape, or form if the results are not there in the paramaters that he set forth himself in the initial posts on here. Hell, I don't blame him for not wanting to associate with this mess after getting the outstanding orders . He's putting more money into it than he's going to realistically get out of it and he doesn't want to get burned.

I mention this quote saying that he wants to resolve this, which was mentioned right below your quote.

I was refunded for 3 movies back in May, I forgot to come back to this thread to report.

Ah right, I see what you mean. I think I was misunderstanding his post and took it to mean that after 1st August he was walking away from HME. But reading it again it does seem that he's committed to getting everything resolved first, even if he decides not to continue with HME.

At least that's what I hope he means!

I've taken CC at face value since the start and he's followed through on the promises that have been made, so I wouldn't expect him to fold and run on August 1st. The man is FAR too easy to find and be prosecuted otherwise. It'd just be silly to do it in that way.
