I really do like these, such as the Snow White set as well.

Unfortunately as a collector I only purchase blu-rays and not DVDs. I don't know why Disney only releases these limited collector's editions as a DVD only option.

Bambi and Dumbo was released as BD, but in a DVD-sized case.

The only difference between the blu ray and DVD version of the movie is the size of the case.

Is this a part of the "buy 4 movies for a buck and then 5 movies at regular price" program or is this from a different program?

I'm thinking of signing up (because I REALLY want the special Dumbo packaging), but want to make sure it's the right thing.

Thank you.

I'd have bought this if it's BD sized. =/ Anyway, nice stuff. ^^

Stay away from this post. It may screw up your Blu-ray.com page.
It's only a movie.

Monstar, is the link I posted above the same place where you were able to buy this special edition?

I'd rather not do the silly 4 movies for $4 bucks promo, but if it means access to those types of collectible packaging, it's totally worth it.

You have to be member of Disney Movie Club to be abel to buy this kind of stuff, some people confuse this with Disney Movie Reward Club

Correct. They are exclusive to the club (they find their way on to ebay and amazon, of course)

When you join the club, you have access to these and other stuff like Tin packaging.

Note: when you buy one of these sets, it counts as two toward your fulfillment requirements of the club.

I own few of the old ones like Snow White, they were sold in disney stores and in some retailers like HMV here in the UK, they all come with a mini-books and book-style hard cases, if anyone interested will sell mine as I've now completely moved to collecting BDs

Wanted Steelbooks:
- Up (FS)
- FF VII (KR)
- MI GP (TW)
- Robin Hood (TW)
- RE: Afterlife (TW)
- Terminator Salvation (FS Ironpak)
