Just preordered! I wonder if 2012 will give 2011 a run for it's money as far as BD catalog releases go? There are some big titles announced, and it's only January!!
Wouldn't it be nice if this set came with an already shaken martini, not stirred! |

I don't see this set, 22 movies, retailing for $200. Considering that no details have been announced for this set with no pricing or release dates set, I think these prices are just speculation based on what some complete series television sets retail for.
These are 22 movies packaged in a boxed set. I think were going to see a retail price closer to between $300-400. These quoted prices that are being posted are simply speculative, at best. While I'd, love to snag this Blu-ray boxed set for $200, I doubt that will be the final price because the studio hasn't really annoounced any information pertaining to pricing, release dates or other details regarding this set. |

It's maddening when Studios do that...I mean, get buyer's hooked on a premium series and then just abandon it. |

If he preordered at $200 but the price drops down to $160 and then Amazon raises it to $220 you'll pay $160. Amazon guarantees the lowest price between your original order and the release date. That's why I placed my order earlier when it was $700,000. In the next day or two my order will drop down to the current $199.99 and I suspect it will drop a few more times between now and when it's eventually released.

Amazon has gotten themselves in trouble over this before. If MGM and Fox end up announcing this set for higher than $300, don't expect Amazon to honor that $200 price.
At any rate, I did a quick search on Amazon.com and they don't even have it listed. Searched for "James Bond blu-ray" and set it for "release dates" and nothing shows up: http://www.amazon.com/s?rh=n%3A26253...t=-releasedate The link those have posted before are probably for Amazon Marketplace. When Amazon lists the item, it probably won't be for $200. The link someone posted before was simply to place it on their pre-order list and no price was indicated. (I'm going by the link that someone posted before and that the prices that people quoted were removed from the listing). Remember, Amazon does honor pre-order prices but not for items that have not been officially announced. |

If that Amazon price is set, then I'll be ordering mine. However, I'm not expecting that price to be solid until the studio announces an official Press Release. Until then, everyone who's advertising this set for low prices are just anticipating (or assuming) that the boxed set will be that price.
I've seen Amazon and Best Buy do this before. They'll list somethign on their website for a low price and then when the item is found to be priced higher then their advertised price, they simply re-list the item with a different product code and yank the previous pre-orders with some sad excuse. Slashfilm is confirming the release and even they admit that while the price is not set that they expect the price to be around $200: http://www.slashfilm.com/mgm-fox-rel...-films-bluray/ I'm praying that the $200 is set and I welcome that. But, I won't get my hopes up until I see an official Press Release. I hope you guys understand that. Oh, and Amazon has the very nasty habit of constantly pre-listing DVDs and Blu-rays before they are released. |

Because he has no understanding I how Amazon works.
Mark my words: everyone who placed an order from Amazon today will pay $199.99 or less as long as they don't cancel that very same Amazon order.
