Maybe Ficus would be releasing the Volga version overseas with their own logo....not sure.
I seriously doubt they would make a press release about re-selling -IMHO this press release is clearly meant as an alert/warning to DVD re-sellers [not to violate their rights] and an announcement to customers overseas that they have a "better" [2 disc] release in works!

I don't think anyone cares if they have a better version 2 months down the line, we need it at the sametime as volga. I went to http://www.ficusmovies.com/, but there is no mention of dvd/bluray. Except at telugu cinema.com, there is no mention about their bluray.
we can rethink if the 2 disc version has khaleja blu and dookudu blu both for 14.99 usd.

And could we have an Ashok Reddy post without 8 smileys following it all the time? That's IMO as rude as someone typing in all-caps,

If Ficus is making their own DVD and Blu-ray for Dhookudu because they have rights, they should also consider releasing atleast a DVD for Khaleja and Puli for which there is no DVD or Blu-ray in the world.

Ficus has USA rights for both Puli and Khaleja as well.
How can such big budget/popular movies not have a DVD released ?

Please don't ask for the DVD of Puli. I know every movie even bad ones needs to be released in home video, but for films like Puli their prints need to be destroyed to be further seen by future generation.

I believe they have theatrical rights for those movies - they are not claiming the DVD rights for those movies .............yet

FYI - Ficus website now shows the Dookudu DVD/BD info - no dates yet.

Wasn't Ficus the one involved in thr Robo DVD rights controversy? Their website doesn't give me any confidence. They should have had some info their considering that they refer to their site in their announcements

Do you know if Ficus is releasing the same version as Volga Blu-ray or are they authoring their own copy.

Ficus will be releasing the Blu-ray in USA.

@Volga, Please take some time and make better/attractive Blu-ray covers with organized/professional look. The Back Cover seems too messy.

Except ficus putting up a notice that they own rights, meaning a warning to people/shops who want to sell the volga version here, there is no other info on availability in usa.

True, Ficus announced that it has the USA rights.
So Volga DVDs for Dhookudu were not sold in USA.

We should expect Ficus to release their own DVD and Blu-ray very soon. It would help if Ficus can share more info.

DOOKUDU-BD review

saw the movie tdy.
this is a very good effort from volga,as the transfer looked decent, although i feel the colors were little dull.(watermark only appears for a few seconds in the begining of the song)
but the AQ is very good.
also, agree with the other members that the artcover could have been a lot more glossier.
anyway Mahesh's 1st outing on BD is a gud purchase.
