This seems to be one of those odd occasions where the 3D implementation affects the movie score (3.0 for the 2D version, 4.0 for 3D).

I'll need to decide which to go with.....

Super annoying that the 2D BD seems to be a BD/DVD flipper disc. Ugh. Stupid Warner.

I loved this movie. I thought they would lose steam by the third but I think it's as good as the other two.

Definitely crass, fratboy humor, no real moral message or lesson here, but I thought it was hilarious, really entertaining. Actually brought a girl to see this and she laughed her ass off. That's a pretty good litmus test for me.

I hope they release the other two in a cheapie set so I can get all 3.

It shouldn't... The BD side should be a 50.

I haven't heard of any problems with the BD/DVD combos yet (Universal's releases, Louie from Fox); unlike the HD DVD disasters...

I'm not happy about this, but since I haven't had problems with the combos I own, Jackal and Traffic, I'll get over it.

Wow, DD5.1 on extended cut? I thought Warner was finally done with lossy tracks. Guess not.

It looks like the 3D combo pack is also a flipper, according to the slipcover that was posted in the slipcover thread.

I hate flipper discs! I also am wondering why they went with DD for the Extended Cut. Warner Brothers...what are you doing?!!?

Inexcusable for a new release, but what can we do...

I don't think I'll shell out for the 3D set, but this movie will obviously be lacking something essential if I only get the 2D edition. Decisions, decisions.

I saw something listed as 19.99 I don't know if that was the combo or movie only version.

I was really looking forward to seeing this, but I just cancelled my preorder. Between it being a BD/DVD flipper, no lossless audio on the extended cut, and no 3D presentation for the extended cut - even though the later is pretty typical of the studio - it's clear that Warner didn't care enough to put any thought or care into this release, or their home-video management seriously needs a clue. I'm sure I'll eventually pick it up, when it's on sale, even if that means waiting a year or two. But, I can't justify new release premiums, when the release so blatantly exploits the home video collector market.

I mean, I can't believe any studio could be so oblivious to the home video market that they would release such a clearly, if not deliberately compromised product and think their fans won't care. It's as if Warner is openly saying, "We don't care. People will pay just as much for this, as our more genuine and thorough efforts."

It's the movie-only version. I dunno this release could've been better and it may be the weakest of the 3 films but I still liked it a lot and do not regret my purchase. Possibly my favourite Christmas film of all-time.
