Looks like Highlander is on the slate to be remade.

Could be cool, I guess. The original definitely has some moments that haven't aged well. But still, it did win that Oscar for the "Best Movie Ever Made."

I cannot be happy about this but your quote made me laugh. I love the Highlander Series, even two which is much better if you watch the Renegade Version. The newest stv version was pretty awful but it was still highlander. Let's just hope they do not screw it up.

This is one of the best films ever do not touch it. I understand there might be a reason for them to update it but it will suck. The tag line is "There can be only one!" for a reason. Please let there be only one.

Once again we see the total LACK of original ideas coming out of hollywood all they do now is bring back 20 year old movies to get money from people who are to young to remember the original movie whats next JAWS.

well...nobody knows what movie to make....so they're making sequels, comic book adaptations, or remakes...woo!

Hollywood, WHAT is up with all these remakes? It seems like if they can't find some nostalgic 80's cartoon/toy series/comic book to f-up, they release sequels to films that are decades old or, in this case, remake it.

Oh, excuse me - their politically correct phrase is "to reinvision it."

I agree about the lack of originality. Why remake a movie that was decent enough the first time? Why remake a movie that isn't even 25 years old? Remakes suck, pretty much always, with very very rare exceptions. Why? Because if it was good the first time around, it's always going to be a shadow of it's original self. Ugh.

Highlander 5 was horrific. The 4th one was....way better than 2 and 3, but that's not saying a lot

They shouldn't mess with this. I mean, Christopher Lambert is far from 'leading man' material and his accent is a little irritating but they cannot replace the atmosphere nor the soundtrack for the original. This is horrible news.
