Seems you were right about June not being the release month.
What film do you think should be on Criterion blu-ray?

Just a technical question, is it a chance that we will see the the LoA BD using any color depth beyond 8 bit per channel?
I certainly hope so the better the picture the better the exsperence

I have yet to see this as well - not sure how I've missed it over the years.
Lloyd C. Cramden: Flint, How do you find time to read all these books?
Derek Flint: No, no, no, sir, I wrote those.

Default saw the remastered LOA on the big screen last night

Hi all
Like everyone else on this thread, I've been eagerly waiting to see the newly restored LOA.
Well, as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival I saw it last night on the big screen, there was a short intro by a guy from Sony who told us that the print they had shown in Cannes wasn't quite finished and that we were the first audience to see the completed restoration.
I've never seen it on the big screen before and I was blown away. I don't feel qualified to go into any kind of technical detail, but the print to my eyes, looked stunning.
If you get the chance, go and see it on the big screen

The person in the intro might have been Grover Crisp, Sony VP of film restoration. That's interesting that the Cannes screening "wasn't quite finished"! I didn't know that.

Yes! Grover Crisp... how could I have forgotten a name like that?!!!

He said he hadn't told the audience at Cannes that there was still a bit of work to do

Blu-ray releases should be perfect representations of their cinema counterparts.
