While I'm excited that this is getting released, I'm kinda pissed that it's going to take a long time like the Destroy All Monsters and Godzilla vs Megalon releases. Also this year, the Daimajin Trilogy suppost to come out soon. I'm looking forward to getting it...whenever it comes out.

Daimajin is being released by Mill Creek. Who knows whenever Gamera: The Brave comes out. Media Blasters is ran by a rocket scientist.

Hopefully they'll include lots of special features. I've been waiting for this one for a long while now, as it's probably one of the better kaiju film in the last 10 years. Surprised it's not been released on blu ray already(especially in Japan). Will be buying/preordering when it pops up on Amazon.

MB just needs to get MEGALON under control and get that guy released first though.

Oh great another title for media blasters to play games with. If they release this before Megalon there will be hell to pay.

According to Best Buy.com, Godzilla vs Megalon is already available but it's on backorder. You can order it shipped to a Best Buy.com store if it's available in one of their local distribution warehouses.

Far as Gamera the Brave goes, I've been on the fence about it because I've heard it isn't as good as Shusuke's Trilogy.

The opening for the movie is great but everything else after that is a little too much on the kiddy side. I still can't get over how dumb the new Gamera's eyes look. It's like Littlefoot in giant turtle form.

How many times are you going to post this in the different threads. We have told you once and will tell you again the disc was never manufactured. There is currently no such thing as a BD of Godzilla vs Megalon. It was never produced, never sent out to retailers, and no one on the face of the planet owns a copy.

jala, thanks. I loved the Shusuke trilogy because I thought it was a great interpretation of the kaiju series and updated it for new fans. I'm still hoping that the original Gamera films get released on Blu-ray. That would definitely be a boon.

Madlost, you did mention about Megalon and I was answering your inquiry. Just check out the updated Best Buy.com listings for the Megalon Blu-ray. lols I wasn't debating it, I was simply answering your statement and going by what Best Buy.com has listed.

Here's the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Godzilla...0blu&lp=1&cp=1

Do a search for "megalon blu-ray" and the index page for your search will say "backordered: order in store or onlline".

You still don't get it do you. I know what best buy says but I also know the disc was never manufactured and there is no way for best buy to have any stock any where as you implied in your original post.

Great (theoretical) news. I'll buy this, whenever/if it actually shows up.

The weakest of the Gamera films, this one felt a little too kiddie for me but I still gotta get it to complete my collection.

The real challenge is MB actually releasing this and not mind ****ing us like they've done with DAM and Gv.Megalon.

With MB's track record I am expecting a 2015 release for this.

Forever, that's what I heard, as well. That the movie harkened back to the days when Gamera and Godzilla movies were produced for children, child-friendly. I was hoping that the film would have a more serious kaiju theme to it, like the Godzilla and Gamera millenium series.

If the case what you're saying is true, I don't plan on purchasing it because it's a step backwards. If they wanted a child-friendly film, then why not simply produce a Gamera animated series aimed at children.

Yeah man, very kiddie with a child actor as the main character. Not something I'd put up there with the Heisei Trilogy.

Tell me about it. I loved those old classic Gamera and Godzilla films but to produce a serious kaiju series of films, the Godzilla millenium and the Gamera Heisei series, and then to go back and produce these kaiju films as "kiddie" films.

I actually enjoyed Shusuke's trilogy and it was especially nice to see Steven Seagal's daughter in the first two films (his daughter, Ayako Fujitani).

It indeed does have "kiddie" elements within... but also has a lot of "serious" elements too. A good mix of both imo.

I just enjoyed the raw approach to these kaiju films as we saw in the Shusuke Gamera trilogy and the Godzilla millenium series. They weren't kiddie movies and simply returned Godzilla back to his original roots.

I liked how this one took a childish approach compared to films that Kaneko did in the 1990's. I also liked the Sulcata turtle that they used.
