Hmm, odd. HMV stores still have stock, so do a stockcheck on their website to see what store near you has it. I had bought mine @ 16.99, but they now list it at 20.99.

Walmart also seems to have it in stock. I went ahead and ordered it through a Canadian pal of mine since there seems to be signs it might be OOP. Most of the Canadian retailers I checked either listed is out of stock or had already removed the listing for it. Also Im pretty sure that it's 1080p Blodiak, at least the back cover scan (that I stole from inetvideo where its also out of stock ) claims so.

It might be 1080P but its cropped from 1.85:1 to 1.78:1. Better than nothing I say.

Wouldn't it be more likely that they opened it up to 1:78:1?

Opened up to 1.78:1 I believe, like almost EVERY other Hollywood BD release for a film that was 1.85:1 theatrically.

I just watched it. It has small black bars top and bottom so it is 1.85:1. The back cover even says 1.85:1.

I didn't even know this was out in Canada. Anyone know where you can get 'em cheaper than $60? How's the transfer?

No idea on the transfer, still waiting on a my friend to get mine in the mail. If you know someone in Canada that can re-mail it to you Walmart has it.

saw it at SUnrise Records in Toronto for 19.99 if someone is still looking for this. FYI, the special features are only on the DVD disc.

My friend finally got around to dropping my copy in the post, got it today. Decent looking transfer, usual Alliance catalog fare. It is very barebones, as previously mentioned the extras are all on the DVD. From the looks of it and the markings on the label the DVD is ancient stock Alliance had kicking around in a warehouse somewhere (it has the old Alliance Atlantis logo). I have to wonder if this release was as much to move old copies of the DVD as anything else.

Audio is English/French DTS-HD MA, breaking Alliance trends of old there aren't any DD options. There are French inter-title subs for the French track but neither language gets a full-length subtitle track. (I think anyway, I need to double check that it wasn't just TMT having a moment.)

Im surprised I didn't know this existed. Since Universal is never going to put this out I just picked it up. Think I might switch out my US DVD for the Alliance one.
