I'm super stoked that Germany won (not that it was ever in doubt), but I didn't see them match. Anyone know if ESPN will rerun it here in the US?

Online I'm not sure but on TV the don't do replays for this Euro.

I'm sure they feel the same way. Not to mention the underlying political significance to the victory. I have a feeling that's part of what the German Chancellor pointed out in the locker room to the squad after the victory.

I'm glad we're agreeing about this. I'm really tired of Spain winning tournaments in recent times, so it's time for them to pass the torch to another nation.

History is on France's side, they've won the last 3 meetings at a major tournament.

That's true, except for the fact that this French team has only won one competitive game since 2006, and that was the first round victory against Ukraine. They really need to redeem themselves today after that terrible game against Sweden.

If France wants to play defensive (then counterattack) they need to take a page from Chelsea's playbook when they beat Barca.

France's counterattacks in this game have been pretty awful so far. At least the finishes around the box. And it annoys me that they never have enough people inside the penalty area to receive crosses. Their big boys (Ribery and Benzema in particular) need to prove their worth in the second half. If for nothing else, then to at least push the game into extra time.

Bye Bye les Bleus . This is the first shot at Platini , still they diden't recover from the South Africa world cup and the way things are going they wont even make to the 2014 world cup .

Now that this game is over i hope and there was some questions regarding why Torres does not play more often since he is the first striker of spain ! This game showed everything . When playing 4X1X1X4 the team plays as a diamond shape always 2 line passes and more chances to score and this favors players like Xavi ( a great # 10 ) on the second half with Torres on the field and in a classic 4X4X2 , 1 shot ( Penalty ) to the goal , there were actually 2 shot's but one dosen't count since Torres was offside .

Semi-finals Portugal VS Spain , another Aljubarrota battle
