Default 14 Jess Franco flicks coming to Blu-ray!

Just saw this on Redemption Films facebook page.

Jess Franco fans and admirers should prepare themselves for a visual orgy of Franco cinema this year as Redemption prepares to release no less than 14 further Franco titles on Blu-ray. Titles currently in preparation or being readied for imminent release include; A Virgin Among the Living Dead, The Demons, The Awful Dr. Orloff, The Erotic Rites of Frankenstein, Nightmares Come at Night and the never before released Les Chatouilleuses aka Crazy Nuns, Franco’s comedic western in which four girls on the run take refuge in a convent disguised as nuns with the usual sapphic results. Crazy Nuns stars Lina Romay and will probably be released on the Jezebel label.

Wow... this great news for fans of bad movies. I'm excited. I was wondering what Redemption had up there sleeves. Hopefully they will also continue their attention to the Mario Bava material and other eurohorror sleeze. This gives us 6 titles so there are 9 unknown; my guess is more of the Orloff films for some. Why Nightmares Come at Night?

A Bay of Blood is coming in April.

The one I can't wait for is, The Awful Dr. Orloff. it's one of the better Franco's.

I would love to see FACELESS. I know it's not highly regarded, but it has a cheesy 80s vibe.

I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE for Redemption to snag up the rights from Dark Sky Films and then put out the 1970 version of Count Dracula with Christopher Lee !

If only Lorna the Exorcist would make it to high definition... perhaps Mondo Macabro will take the HD plunge one day (or Redemption can get the blu rights).
