Default What are the best movies that have not been released at all in North America

What are some good recommendations for lesser known movies that have not made it to the states?

Examples:
Thirst
The Chaser
Valhalla Rising
Hidden (Cache)

Also, has anyone seen Cargo? Is it any good?

Well, Valhalla Rising was released in North America, just not the US. You can import from Canada. I'm losing patience waiting for a US release, it may be my first import. You'd think with the success of Drive they'd release the Director's previous films.

I want ROLLING THUNDER (1977). Released in the UK. Since MGM owns the rights and they put it out on MOD not too long ago, one wonders if this will ever get blu treatment.

The Canadian release is good. I'd say that if you're waiting you should just buy it. I don't think it would be an upgrade if they released it here. It has good extras and great PQ.

Cargo wasn't anything spectacular. I'd give it 3 of 5.

From the UK:

Double Indemnity (possibly coming here soon)
Touch of Evil
A bunch of Ozu titles (Toyko Story, Late Autumn, Early Autumn, etc..)
Sunrise
Cleopatra (1934 and 1963 versions)
Lifeboat
Ugetsu
Sansho Dayu
My Neighbor the Yamadas
Howl's Moving Castle
Disney's Tarzan (though the transfer sucks apparently)
Barton Fink

That's about right. I don't regret buying it but wouldn't tell anybody to run out and order it either.

These are among some of my favorites, but there are literally hundreds, maybe even thousands at this point that are not available in North America.

Current Blu-Ray Recommendation:

Valhalla Rising is available in North America (Canada)

I don't know if people will consider them as great, but here are my favorite movies that I own that aren't out in the U.S.:

Also have pre-ordered this one being released soon in Japan, LOVE this movie:
