Just caught the information that Blu-ray.com has listed this upcoming Blu-ray disk. While very little information is listed on the entry, I've managed to discover some additional details about this upcoming release.

This Blu-ray features the following technical specs: DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital 5.1, LPCM Stereo. It's "All Region" and has a run-time of 231 minutes. Besides the main feature of the 2004 concert at Montreaux, there's a bonus feature that includes Phil Collins' earlier concert at Montreaux in 1996. The music set numbers are all listed here for both concerts on this disk.

Hmm. I might pick it up at a low, low price but I'd rather have Serious Hits...Live! That concert is amazing and already sounds great on dvd.

While I've enjoyed that concert, I think the better one is Finally ... The First Farewell Tour. Genesis: The Way We Walk Live is also a good one, too.

Both Serious Hits and First Farewell are outstanding concerts, but I especially appreciated the extras included in The First Farewell DVD set, namely the music videos. I'd love to see either on Blu. Regardless, I'm definitely picking up a copy of Montreaux!

I still remember when they played these songs and music videos at my church school for our volunteer meetings about homeless and donating for those in need of medical expenses. Might pick this up...

It's just sad that Phil won't be making any more music. He really is a talented songwriter and artist. I'd just like to see Phil record some new material and I hope that he returns in a few years and records a new album or double CD. But, I'd really like to see more of his concerts released to Blu-ray.

I kind of like (on dvd) Phil's Live And Loose In Paris vs Finally...The First Farewell Concert, it seemed more upbeat with more energy. Although the Finally concert had all of his music videos on it as well, a nice touch. Anyway, I'd like to see either on blu as well as Genesis's When In Rome. Eagerly anticipating this new one, it has a great play list and Eagle Rock does such a nice job with their blu transfers, especially ones from Montreux.

And I like one called "We Said Hello, Goodbye" but he rarely plays it live it seems. Ever notice he doesn't seem to play any Genesis stuff when he's on stage as just Phil, or Phil stuff when he's playing with Genesis? Maybe a record company thing perhaps...

if one wants to see Phil Collins at his best, they need to release some vintage Genesis and Brand X concerts!

Slightly disappointed but that's because I wanted so bad this to get at least 4.5 on both, audio and video. Definitely picking this up nevertheless.

But the official review-rating is from a single person.
You really let that affect your decision on getting a BD? You're probably missing out on a lot of great BDs then.
You should also look at the average of user-reviews, although not available in this case.

I often have that an official review gave certain ratings, then I look at the screenshots and go like "What?? I disagree!" and simply get it or not.
