funny, you can see bar bands with players that have more talent than the biggies out there.
it really all come down to luck, a musician can be super talented but might never get the chance he or she deserves

Yeah, it's a lot tougher than most people think, and most people think it's almost impossible!

I just read your first post in your thread today, and see that you used to be a DJ. Did you have a cool DJ name?

Hello PurpleJesus!

As far as I'm concerned, having fun jamming is what it's really all about. I used to play my drums for 8 to 10 hours a day. Now it's usually about 1 or 2 hours about 2 or 3 times a week.

To be honest, I haven't even hardly walked into my HT room since I blew my center channel tweeter. I did unhook the blown one, and rehook up my old Polk, but I haven't even turned it on.

I did borrow my friends circular saw a couple of days ago, and I have a good bit of MDF board left over from making my center stand, but probably not enough to make both front stands. I may try to get started on them today.

RIBBIT !!!

I hope you'll be more careful in the future ......... If you wish to listen at very high volume, might I suggest investing in a dedicated power amplifier. As blowing speakers generally comes from amplifier clipping (not enough clean power) to the speaker.

I agree with Russ' recommendation for an external power amp.
