I might wait for a review but this has been on my wish list as long as I've had a wish list.

I freaking love this movie and I absolutely freaking love that nobody ever knows what the hell I'm talking about when I quote it.

The Little Shop of Horrors Review

To be honest, this is about what I was expecting but I was also kinda hoping for a miracle.

Oh well, I'll probably still pick it up at some point but there's certainly no rush.

Little Shop was never shown in the US at any theatre anywhere in 1.66 - it was shown in the ratio it was framed for, 1.85 and Legend should be ashamed of themselves for this AND Plan Nine.

so this movie was to be shown in 1.66:1 or 1.85:1 (both cropped from the 1.33:1 source) and now the provide only the original 1.33:1 source on Blu-ray?

Default never ending oarstoryyyyyy

Movies after the mid fifties were to be show in widescreen.
Most are made in cameras with gates with a "4:3" shape

sure hope they fixed the splice/jump problem that happened during Jack Nicholson's scene on the Legend DVD release.

The original dialog was "Is this Dr Farbs's office?", the one w/ the spice /jumps sounds like "is this Dodderb's office?"

here it is w/ the flaw

here it is WITH THE COMPLETE DIALOG:

Regrettably, no...it's not fixed.

That's a real shame because this Blu-ray is VERY NICE. It's probably the best Legend release I've seen (And I think I have about 7 of their Blu-rays). Unfortunately, the jump cut dialogue is a rather jarring hit over the head in an otherwise excellent Blu-ray.

Did you check both the b&w version and the color version?

No...but I'll bet my house and my 1968 Triumph TR250 Convertible that the color version is exactly the same as the B&W version that I watched.

But I'll check it later when I fire up the big TV.

Check back here around 6:00PM CENTRAL Standard Time and I'll have the definitive answer posted.

Just checked the color version. Same jump cut in both versions.

I can't believe this one beat out the musical version from the 80's for a bluray release.

I've been waiting for teh newer one since bluray was invented. (sigh)

As soon as I saw the title for this thread, I almost squeeled like a girl, till I saw that date. Rats.

Don't worry. It's coming out this Fall, with the good ending, even!

On topic, does this release of the Roger Corman film have the Mike Nelson commentary that the DVD release had?
