Default Universal better not DNR Schindler's List!

After seeing their lazy DNR treatment for The Dear Hunter Universal 100th Anniversary, I would expect worst.

Here's hoping they would rescan the film instead of recycling the DVD master and leave the picture alone.

Except that The Deer Hunter looks good. Grain is intact and colors are robust.

It's not that. It's just that it's a classic, a disturbing classic, but a classic nonetheless.

Me, too.

As for Schindler's List, I hope Universal treats it with the respect it deserves.

Actually I hope they add some color and have a 3D release, seriously who in this day and age can watch a B&W with no 3D?

Its one of the restoration titles, so they scanned it again. I for one hope that Spielberg is in the room most of the time when there restoring it. Dont put no grain balance on or w/e that thing was on Mockingbird. If any movie not to screw around with, this is the one. This movie deserves the full treatment. Personally my favorite movie.

If Spielberg or especially his DP are involved, it won't be. Dude loves the grain.

If I remember (only seen the movie once in theater back in 93) this was a very grainy movie and it was showing quite a lot because of the B&W?
