We can switch things if the league votes that way. And some of the trades have been bad and I can see why people have an issue with him but I don't think they were really veto worthy. Trades are very rarely 50/50 and they shouldn't have to be. Circumstances vary from trade to trade. The vetoes are excessive.

so based on what you just wrote, why does cano have value at 2b but Tulo had such little value when beef and i were trading...SS is just as scarce as 2b. Who said Tulo didnt hold any value? Do u remember what beefbowl gave u for him? Also Tulo isnt in the same class as Cano in my book. He isnt nearly as consistent year to year as Cano. Pence & Sabathia is not worth Cano & Zimmerman. Please dont even mention Young haha. Got Em!!

That trade was fair. The Cano side was winning but not enough to say they were cheating or colluding. I haven't had any trades vetoed and don't even feel like trying to trade at this point. I hate to keep siding with Kev since he has some predetermined hatred towards me but he is right. Vetos are for cheating and colluding not opinions.

I dont care who u side with, to me that trade wasnt fair. Its ok for us to disagree on that. People that think the trade is unfair most likely would vote against it and people who dont wont. CC is an elite pitcher and Pence is a very good hitter. Cano is an elite hitter and Zimmerman is a very good pitcher. Where was the EXTREME lopsideness?

i would hardly call that deal lopsided....and who are you to say whats fair when 2 managers obviously took the time to work a deal out, obviously agreeing to something they think will help their team

again you really do fail to see the purpose of voting...i dont know how to else to say it. I havent liked 99% of the trades in this league, but i dont vote against them because they arent cheating or truly that bad to be vetoed

I'm not going to quit the league or anything drastic, but I am solemnly disappointed that another trade walrus and I wanted has been vetoed. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, but I am starting to get the feeling that a couple people in this league are starting to veto trades for shits and giggles. Let's be honest here, in the last few days, this thread has been quite the yarn.

Well Zimmerman isn't in CC's league. And what does it matter what it took to get someone earlier this year? I bet you could get Tulowitski, or Ellisbury, or other players like that for a lot less then they would have cost you at the beginning of the season. Values change. You are the one claiming Jason Hammell is an elite pitcher aren't you?

I know it's drastic, but this thing has gone too far. I don't want to quit, but this league is supposed to be fun. All these vetoes are sapping the fun out of it. The link that I posted has a great line: "Whatever two owners agree on is their business, unless they’re cheating, and then it’s everyone’s business. Half the fun of the game is to see who comes out ahead in these trades anyway."

I tend to agree with this, the vetoes are rarely legitimate IMO

Remember I don't know anyone but what I do know is my opinion based on facts. If managers disagree with a trade that is what there veto is for. I understand that point of view but this trade they are doing and many of the other ones that were vetoed were clearly not so imbalanced they could have been suspected of cheating. Both sides are getting 2 very good players. Yes one side is getting the best player but it is not so lopsided we need to have this big of an argument about. Plus, Czar is the only one stating why he thinks its so bad yet its getting voted down by multiple people. Likely the same multiple people who vote down every trade. That is where the problem lies.

It might even be a little bit different if the voting was a majority (I still think it would be ridiculous), but it's not. Only 4/10 people are vetoing this deal, which makes it a minority. Czar is saying why he disagrees all the while maintaining that he didn't veto the trade, which I find to be incredulous. I agree with everything you said force. I still believe the way trades should be vetoed needs to be changed.

this must just be some interpretation between czar and his buddies, cuz you guys are the only ones who are such veto crazy... i'll say this, its not your right to just disagree and vote no every single time...thats not the purpose of voting, it never has been, and it never will be


i happen to think that czars and ssj current deal (the furcal deal) is about as pointless a trade as possible, but voting against it never even crossed my mind

It seems like were in a very opinionated league were people's values and thoughts are different from one another. I can say its okay to agree we disagree on how we value players and the fairness of each trade. Remember its everyone's opinion on why they vote for each trade.
There have been 28 trades and 11 were vetoed because 6 to 7 of them were still the same trade or very close to being the same trade. Even when they got vetoed they changed it up to make them closer to being fair, In most peoples eyes.
