I traded Bryan LaHair to Sad News Bears on July 8. On July 13, he dropped him.

I thought he was going to play more than he did. He doesn't play against left handed pitching. That's why I dropped him. I remember telling you I was willing to take a gamble.

Yeah, he also cooled off a lot after mid-May.

Ouch... Jose Bautista got injured. Hope it's not serious.
Funny how Walrus's star players are all getting injured, first Votto and now Bautista. Update: Bautista was placed on the 15 day DL with left wrist inflammation .... not a serious injury.

I don't even think he'd beat Trumbo in the MVP voting right now.

Trout is better in fantasy because of his SBs. But in real life, they're not that different. Trout puts up Rs while Trumbo puts up RBIs. Trout has more power. They're both strong hitters who get on base.

Trout has put up 44 RBI's playing from the #1 spot. Also leads the MLB in steals, leads the AL in BA AVG (2nd in MLB), only one run behind from being tied for #1 in runs while only playing 69 games.

"playing from the #1 spot" doesn't matter much after the first inning, especially in the AL. And Trumbo is also putting up big numbers. I don't think there's any substantial difference in their numbers outside of SBs and HRs.

I believe it does. It's far easier to score RBI's when you have someone like Trout and Pujols batting in front of you vs having Wilson and Bourjos. It might not look like there's a substantial difference but Trumbo has played more games. I guess we'll have to see how they play in the 2nd half.
