I have to agree, I didn't think the 3D in the theater was very good at all. I enjoyed the movie so I bought the 2D blu-ray version.

I bought this Friday from Best Buy, we really enjoyed the movie, it was fun - the Rock was actually pretty funny, call me strange but I really enjoy his performances on the big screen, he can be quite diverse from the "I'm going to stomp your ass" super cop to the step dad of J2. The 3D was great! Very good use of both positive and negative parallax.

Overall definitely happy with this purchase, we'll watch this one again.

Right on. 20 bucks is hard to pass up for a really good 3D movie like Journey 2 3D and 20 bucks is a reasonable price (not 34.99 or 49.99 for one movie as they usually are), which I caught in theaters and was impressed with the pop outs and 3D. Wrath 3D also 20 bucks I see.

Journey CE 1 3D is 22 bucks. Just like video games, prices drop after it's been on the shelves for a little while. 42.99 bucks originally for Journey 1 3D was way too much. Journey 1 highly recommended for very strong 3D.

Yeah, I picked up the Journey CE 3D for $13.99 at BJs a couple months back. Could not believe it was that price!

Finally got to see this movie. I found it enjoyable. My parents had the 2D combo pack. Wish I had bought it in 3D when it was on sale at Best Buy a couple of weeks back.

Thumbs up

Got this one new for 20 bucks. Great deal on a really good 3D movie, filmed in 3D. Not as strong as Journey CE 1 3D, but very nice 3D! Fun movie too.

Can't believe there hasn't been a post for this since 2012!

Rewatched last night. despite having a brain numbingly stupid screenplay and mostly poorly written characters this is still an entertaining ride thanks to the stunning 3D and effective action scenes. Sure the 3D isn't as strong as the first movie but I think I prefer the look of this movie. I prefer the island setting to the centre of the earth and I think the set pieces are stronger in this one.

The 3D looks amazing throughout, really nice from beginning to end.
"Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."

I saw this in a theater and couldn't believe how bad it was. I never picked it up because of that but I did want to watch it again for the 3D.

I just watched this, and never knew how great it would be to see The Rock bicker with Michael Caine and Peeta while Luis Guzman pratfalls... in 3D. Peeta was such a shit of a stepson in this.
