Sometimes we hear of people who are “very” honest, “mostly” honest, or even “a little” honest.
Should we even use modifiers with the word honest? I don’t believe so. There are no degrees of honesty. Either we are honest or we aren't.

You are joking, right? If not, then I must assume you know nothing of the movie.

It's like saying "I hope Hoosiers is as good as Baseketball!"

Navy Seals is a good movie, but you can't cpmpare it to Act of Valor.
Navy Seals is pure Hollywood make believe.
Act of Valor uses real active duty Navy Seals and SWCC, real tactics and situations based on real events.
They even used live fire rounds in some scenes.
You can't get more real than that!

My point exactly. Navy Seals was a good Hollywierd action film with little to no resemblance to reality. It was good for what it was, as long as you knew what you were watching. To me, it seems almost insulting to compare AoV to this movie. Same thing if someone wanted to compare it to Hurt Locker (another ridiculously unrealistic "war" movie).

I can't wait to get this on blu-ray.
Normally I wait for prices to fall to around the $9.99 level before buying movies on BD.
Not so for Act of Valor.
I'll be paying full price on day one of its release.

Unless the transfer is horrible (which I doubt), this will be a day 1 purchase for me.

I went to see “Act of Valor” this weekend. What really struck me was at the end, there were men and women sobbing in the theatre. And no one got up when the credits started. Everyone was just frozen in their seat. God Bless our military!!! We can’t appreciate them enough but this film definitely let’s us walk in their shoes with them (while we sit in our comfy theatre chair eating popcorn!)

WOW!!!

You really are a fan of Act of Valor.

Seeing this flick on a 40ft screen is the best way to "experience" it.

I really enjoyed this movie: My favorite parts were:

Quote:
When the soldiers were walking through the field at night, there was no music for awhile. Just footsteps and crickets.

When the camera would switch to first person view.
Those aspects made it realistic and intense to watch.

Quote:

Agreed.
[Show spoiler]I fu**ing lost it when they started playing "Taps".
