I'd actually prefer a more character-driven "RoboCop" story, instead of excessive violence and such. I'd like a move that tells things from Murphy's internal point of view, showing his conflict, once he realizes what's happened to him.

Let me add R.I.P.D. to the list. This movie looks interesting.

The Hobbit is almost guaranteed to be good, and I'm interested to see what Chris Nolan (as producer) can bring to the Superman franchise. The rest, no thanks. I'm very interested in Inside Llewyn Davis (by the Coen brothers), assuming it hits in 2013 rather than 2012. And Monsters University as well. Oh yes, and add Catching Fire to the list as well. It's not called Lawless anymore. Malick gave that name away to John Hillcoat's new film.

None. A movie announced so far in advance is no doubt an overhyped blockbuster. Well, I suppose the second Hobbit comes out in late 2013, and Jackson has proven himself a good director of the LOTR films, so I imagine that will be pretty good. So I guess that.
Oh, also I guess if Scorsese actually announces The Irishman for sure I will be pretty excited for that. But it looks like he's doing something else instead, AGAIN. Last edited by Kevin Holly; 03-25-2012 at 03:45 PM. |

Don't forget the live action remake of Akira if it actually doesn't get delayed yet again.

It's this Tom Cruise/Morgan Freeman action sci-fi movie being put out by Universal next April. I guess it's based on some comic book/graphic novel...

These are movies I'm interesting (some may no longer be 2013 titles or may be canned):
Elysium (if what I've heard it is true, definitely my most anticipated film of 2013) The Odyssey Hercules: The Thracian Wars 300: Battle of Artemisia (dubious choice for director) The Last Stand Mad Max Fury Road RoboCop Machete Kills Silence Robopocolypse The Hobbit: There and Back Again Star Trek 2 Trance Sin City 2 (yeah, I know, lol) Most of those won't appeal to me much unless they're R-rated. We'll see :| EDIT: Oh yeah, and an assortment of foreign films. Alas, I have an even worse grasp of the potential of foreign films (and when they'll be released with english subs) than I do domestic ones. Last edited by Decado; 03-26-2012 at 02:13 AM. |
