The true story of two British track athletes competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics. One is a devout Scottish missionary who runs for God, the other is a Jewish student at Cambridge who runs for fame and to escape prejudice.

At that price I'm sticking to my UK preorder for now. Only downsides for me are (a) no digibook and (b) possible region-locking (which I can handle).

I like this Christian movie. I use to own Charriots of Fire on Laserdisc than DVD. Now I will get rid of my DVD and will own it on Blu-ray.

The Amazon pre-order screen says its 1 disc in the package. The Blu-ray.com website claims it has two discs in the package. The Blu-ray disc plus the motion picture soundtrack on CD. One of the websites has incorrect information about this title.

The soundtrack is a HUGE bonus. One of the best soundtracks ever. I'm in for this one. Outstanding movie and very deserving for it's Best Picture Oscar.

Does the US version have the soundtrack on CD? Amazon website currently says it only comes with the Blu-ray disc.

It looks like there will be two versions released here. The digibook, as well a standard release. So no need to import if you think the digibook is too expensive.

The digibook package also comes with a CD sampler that includes the following tracks from Vangelis' score:

Chariots of Fire is just one of those perfect classic movies.

gotta admit I have never seen this movie but the theme is one of my favorite classical/instrumental pieces ever...now that its on blu i definitely have an excuse to see it!
