Ive bought all the WWE released ECW dvds and those have disappointed me a bit with endless repeat matches. I hope they dug up some matches worthy to justify an entirely new dvd.

I love ECW but I don't expect much in terms of PQ or AQ. ECW's budget was a small fraction of what WCW and WWF had at the time.

Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka - worth buying just for that.

Are any of these actually going to be in HD? Or is this going to be a set where they show interviews in HD and then the old, grainy matches?

The usual - older footage filmed on video will be in SD, new interviews will be in HD. But the SD content looks slightly better than DVD.

Al, you like wrestling? You win more points in my book. Sabu is one of my fav wrestlers too. And that Sabu and Funk match I'm assuming you're talking about is brutal. Very good memories.

dude i'm disappointed, when I think of ECW I think of The Sandman and Raven...they only briefly get mentioned, Tommy Dreamer is plastered all over this thing.

I'm going to pick up this and the last of the pioneer releases that I need on amazon. The used prices are dirt cheap.
