Safe House Blu-ray Safe House Blu-ray Review Safe House Blu-ray Bummer that it's going to be 4 months from theatrical-to-Blu (not that 4 months is forever, but I'm looking forward to this one). "The Vow' was released the same day, yet it'll be released on Blu a month earlier. "This Means War" came out a week later and will be released on Blu 2 weeks earlier. There's a nice steelbook being released in the UK.
"Who is Guy..Meatdrapes? What kinda' name is that?" "Um..it's um..Medrapades sir, it's uh, it's Greek." "Well I think you're pronouncing it wrong. This says Meatdrapes." "It's actually pronounced, um, Medrapades." "Well why doesn't it sound like that when I say it? Meatdrapes."

Saw this movie just a few days ago and was really impressed. Ryan Reynolds surprised me with a great performance, and the movie's pace was really fast, and another thing I liked was how it didn't make me go "why don't they just do this?" at scenes where there are viable options for escape.
[Show spoiler] I can appreciate when movies do those little things.

It was an alright movie, thought the first act was the peak of the film. With the mix of Washington decimating and showing a straight up boring CIA job with Reynolds character was interesting. After that, it goes purely into the standard spy action/thriller territory.

I went to Best Buy tonight to pick up Blade and Falling Skies, and I noticed they had several of the exclusive Safe House steelbooks on the shelf. I asked an associate, and they received the shipment today.
So if you missed out, and are interested, your local BB may have received a few. YMMV.
