Blade Runner: 30th Anniversary Digibook Blu-ray

Vote for which Cut you like best

Might as well create this thread again for discussion. Warner will be releasing a 30th Anniversary Collector's Edition for Blade Runner later this year. The set will have everything from the OOP 5-Disc collector's edition, plus a few new extras.

Includes 4 Discs (3 BD's, 1 DVD) in presumably this order

Disc 1 (BD): The Final Cut Blu-ray
Disc 2 (BD): Theatrical/Director's/International cuts
Disc 3 (BD): Bonus content disc w/ Workprint Cut
Disc 4 (DVD): The Final Cut DVD

The Bonus disc features "1,000+ new images* which are said to be in HD. Included with this CE is a 72-page Art Production book with never-before-seen Ridley sketches, poster art and photos from the set. It also includes a Spinner model car, and a lenticular film cell that were previously included in the UCE (i.e. briefcase edition)

UPDATE: There are now 2 editions. The 4 Disc Collector's edition, and a 3-Disc Digibook (aka Blu-ray Book edition).

I'll be passing on this one. Perfectly happy with the 2007 release.

100 000 still images would not encourage me to upgrade

really cool, because last week i found the final cut on blu-ray at frys and it was on clearance, it had a $36.99 price tag, so i was going to buy it, when it scanned it was $36.99

, weird because other clearance titles had price tags of $24.99 and were about $8

Better picture or audio quality and/or "Dangerous Days" in HD would be the only reasons to upgrde to the 30th Anniversary edition which come to mind...

Since I missed out on the, now expensive last release, it may work out ok to get this. Last time I bought this was LD, so it would be a nice upgrade.

Unless they remastered it again, which I doubt, the difference from going to VC-1 to AVC would be miniscule at best. This is basically a repackage with a DVD and DC thrown in.

I am excited for this release as it's one of my favorite movies of all time. I hope the Oct. 2nd release date stands.

Feels like they're gonna use all the Blade Runner 2 news floating about to gather some free advertisment for this.

Hope they wised up and put Dangerous Days in HD on there, which I doubt.

Otherwise, new transfer + dts master hd will suffice. I'm a sucker for everything blade runner.
