ImportCD's has it for about 6 bucks less than Amazon, but the pre-order won't be up until July.

Would this make a good blind-buy for a big fan of 80s low budget horror?

Reputation suggests The Boogens is a worthy blind buy although I have yet to see it. I plan to blind buy.

its not the best the genre has to offer or anything but if you are interested in obscure cult horror movies from the 80s youll probably enjoy it.

If you've ever wanted to see the evil spawn of Gamera as the villains in a slasher movie you'll like it.

A question of pronunciation that's always bothered me - is it Boogens with a 'boo' or Boogens as in boogie? Is there an official consensus? Are the titular creatures ever actually referred to by name? Been a long time since I watched this one.

Oh, ok. But now I think I'll just withhold the info from myself to make for the most underwhelming, unrewarding surprise ever when I get around to watching the BD. Thanks though.

Does ImportCDs ship early if you preorder?

Concerning the comment about Boogens being a random title: Olive acquired a package of films from Republic/Paramount. It's not a very big list of films but " Boogens" was on it, Olive knows the film has a following. Not very random, really. It's not like Olive just picked the title out of a hat of thousands of movies.

Yes. I received High Noon and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (street date 7/17) last saturday. Force of Evil and Body and Soul (street date 7/31) were shipped on July 6th. (should be in my mailbox today or tomorrow)

Importcds ship in a corrugated cardboard mailer with all discs rubber banded together on the inside. I have had no problems with them.
