The IMAX aspect ratio was not 2.35, it was more like 1.78 if not 1.85, is there anyway to confirm if that could be the aspect on the 3D bluray?

It would be nice if they did this like Cameron is doing Titanic. 3D in 1.78:1 and 2D in 2.35:1. I love 2.35:1 and of course prefer OAR, but 3D is really better at 1.78:1.

Although a lot of "are you serious?!" moments I was enthralled. Will get this.

Great movie, loved it. Might be the second best movie in the ALIEN series, cheers to Ridley Scott!

I'm hearing NOTHING but awesome things about this movie. I boycott going to theaters (something I'm sure I'll break for this, spider man and batman) but I can't wait for the BD release in a few months

For those that saw it in 3D how was it? I saw it in 2D and thought the imagery was awesome but am curious if it's worth picking up the 3D BD for when I eventually upgrade. I'm normally not a fan of 3D but heard some good things about the 3D photography in this.

It's not good in the narrative and character sense at all. The script and characterization is flat out bad in a lot of spots. But, it's gotta be one of the best looking sci-fi films of all time.

Visually, way more impressive than Avatar.
"Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a DARK KNIGHT."

i saw it in 2D also because 3D at home is sooo much better (unless you have a proper digital cinema or imax nearby)

i never go to the cinema but went to see this to support it, and scifi as a genre, and to get the story out of the way before someone spoiled it for me.

im not a fan of cinema since Bluray becasue the picture and sound is SO inferior (at my multiplex) to the home experience (and other people making noise REALLY winds me up.

Brilliant films though, not without its flaws though, day 1 3D bluray for me (you get both versions so its WIN, WIN)
