I really don't care. A couple of extended rape scenes aren't going to make or break a film to me.

Agreed. And not having Part I on Blu will in no way affect my enjoyment of these sequels. I would watch Part I in HD on VUDU but they aren't showing it in the correct aspect ratio (wtf?). Part V is truly awful and should never have happened.

My bad, apparently 1:85:1 IS the original ratio according to this site and Amazon. I could've sworn it was in 2:35:1! Now I can watch it with a clear conscience...

The DVD's were also full screen...so to watch these in Widescreen on BD is a plus. Alot of ppl seem very concerned about the whole edited/uncut version of Death Wish 2. Something tells me it'll still be the same edited theatrical version that the DVD presented, but knowing that these movies are getting released at all is the only important thing to me. At least we're getting it next month. I'm going to enjoy DW2 either way.

How does this make sense? Death Wish 2-4 are scheduled for next month but not the first or last? The 3rd one was always my favorite anyway, but damn. Should I be holding out for a complete set here or what?

The first is owned by Paramount, while II-III-IV are owned by MGM and V is owned by LionsGate. I wouldn't say a box set is completely out of the question but given the ownership I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Pre-ordered II and III. Doesn't look like II will be the uncut version, but I could care less. The DVD was the same thing and it doesn't look as if this uncut version is getting released anytime soon. Once the first Death Wish film is out that'll be it for me...don't care to own IV.

No confirmation yet about DWII or which cut it will be, Running time suggests the R-Rated, We will have to wait a few weeks to see!

I agree. If the uncut version is aired on MGM, HD, Netflix and Amazon, I don't see how they can't possibly put it on a home release either...but the back cover will be available closer to street date and we'll know what features come with it. Hopefully when released the main menu will have the option of viewing the theatrical or uncut version of the film...would make things alot better for everybody,
