Perhaps it's just me, but I think it looks somewhat cheap overall.

I think it's better that way. Otherwise all the things in the briefcase would be there for nothing. Now they have a purpose: they make the cube glow.

And why would you want to place the cube out of the briefcase?

I really like the look of it, but I know what you mean, I'm also a little concerned they haven't said if its limited to a certain number, if it turns out to be mass produced, the yes the quality may well suffer.

Still we know nothing about it yet, I'm hoping they release some more information sonner rather than later.

I don't care personally but a few people were wondering if it was a.) removable and if so b.) if it lit up, so I was just posting the latest info on that.

The only thing about this set that bothers me is knowing in 4 years or so they will have a Phase 2. So now I gotta decided if I buy the phase 2 movies then sell them later or hold off for the set or say screw the phase 2 set? besides that i'm pretty happy with it!

U’re willing to wait 4 years to buy movies on the hope there will be a another box set??

You could always rent the Phase 2 movies. Still, even if we do buy them - and we will - selling them on for a decent price ain't difficult. I've made my money back on Incredible Hulk and Cap 3D, with only Thor 3D left on my shelf. (I'm keeping hold of the Iron Man flicks for now, because of the extras.)

Thats the problem, i'm not willing to. But I know in a few years time we'll be right back here with a kick ass phase 2 set. and i'll be in the same dilemma I was just in. Fortunately for me I sold all the movies I had for $100.. so I'm doing very good as far as this "upgrade" goes!

Just buy it. You'll only spend 40 dollars, since you've traded your old movies in.

And 4 years is a long time. Who knows what will happen in 4 years? Maybe the world will end in 4 years . Stop worrying about what MIGHT happen in 4 years time, nothing is for sure.

I'll buy this set. It looks great.

I feel the same way. If your buying it hoping it will be a limited edition and be worth alot more later than i could understand the hesitation about getting it. Personally, I'm buying it because I'm a fan of comic book films and I would love to have it sitting on a shelf displayed. Even if they release and ultimate set four or five years from now I will probably buy that too.

Yeah after seeing that box set, it does look kinda cheap, and I will agree I'm not fan of the cases either but like them its not going to stop me from getting the set. However now that I've looked at that video, you may be better off owing each individual title since you are guaranteed to get the digital copies and get all of those special features you want.

However if you want all that memorabilia this set is for you. Funny thing is, is that after reading other people's comments on the briefcase it does look cheap. To me it looks like a toy you could get from Toys R' Us.

They made the set nice, however a little less "solid" and more cheap so it would be less expensive for all of us to buy. Really in the end you are paying about $23 a movie and getting the briefcase for free. Though right now you can buy all of these movies individually for a little under considering The Incredible Hulk is only $10-$14 and the others you can even buy used for about the same.

As there are 6 movies I do like the idea of having one large box set to hold them all. While this is increasingly looking more cheap with each picture/video I see, I will still pick it up because I sold all of my individual movies and I take good care of my stuff.

Seen a video on Youtube of the set and the cases for the films seem to just have a cardboard slit where the disc slides in. No hubs or anything.

Think I'm going to cancel my order. The discs are going to end up arriving worse than the SG-1 DVD sets.

Quality seems to be what i would expect for that price. I am however going to be replacing the model tesseract with a custom made glass one.

Considering these are blu-rays, I highly doubt that. If you take care of your discs, you wont get a single scratch.
