I wanted to see it in theatres, but didn't get around to it. Is it any good?

It's being distributed by Alliance in Canada, so I have no doubt it will drop to $10-15 within a few weeks of release

Also, there are only 2 extras listed?!

Seems unusually sparse for a new movie...
Check out my Star Wars Home Video Collection Website:
swhomevid.site40.net

Yes, I STILL BUY DVDs! Any DVD with extras not ported to the blu-ray is STILL WORTH BUYING!

Most recent blu-rays: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Triple Feature (April 26), Star Trek: The Original Series, Season 1 (April 20)

Each trailer I saw for this, it was full widescreen. No black bars. Now the specs say 2.40:1 AR, why do studios do this? seriously?

At home? Maybe you have picture zoomed.

I wanted to see this in the theater but someone said that the US theatrical release was cut to get a PG-13 Rating. So I wonder if the Unrated Blu-Ray has those bits added back in or it's something else.

No, thats not it. I never zoom my tv. I wacthed the trailer on Ghost Rider 2 BD.
idk it just ticks me off that they do that.

I can take a pic of my tv, and show you guys

And by the way, I do work at a video rental store. so we get product early for employees to rent.

James Cameron on the other hand, he put the picture back together for Avatar....and he's putting the extra footage back onto Titanic on the 3DBD, hopefully he does the same for the regular BD version. Oh oh and Narnia 3 did the same thing. There's probably a lot more but not gonna get into it.

No way to really tell. I do hope the Unrated cut is at least close to what the movie was supposed to be though. I'll likely blind buy because it looked like it should be very entertaining to me, PG-13 or not.

It will be interesting to see the unrated version. Thought the film was enjoyable, though some very cheapo effects in parts. I'm a huge Guy Pearce fan and liked him as this character.

It looked really interesting in trailers but it was crapped on by critics.

Still wanna see it though.

Oh absolutely and I own several movies that were slammed by critics but I really enjoy.

Lockout looks like a fun action film and nothing more. The only thing that concerns me is that many critics complained about the camerawork during the heavy action scenes. That its really choppy and all over the place making it hard to keep up with whats going on. Now critics said the same thing about Deathrace and I had no problem keeping up with what was going on in that particular movie so it may not be an issue.

we'll see. I'm a big Guy Pearce fan.

I'll probably be getting it too. But I may wait a little until I find out which release is better (US, UK, etc.). A little surprised by the lack of special features on the US release.

this will definitely be a blind buy purchase for me in the future...

edit: since the back cover says region A & B, maybe the UK version will be identical to the US.

Anyone know the runtime for this disc? Theatrical is 95min and I want to know how much this unrated cut adds. The only backcover I found is too little to read the details
