pretty sure they will use seamless branching for the directors cut, since the only difference is the ending of the film.
unless they really couldn't find the color version of the alternate ending and decided to have the directors cut be entirely in black and white(which is doubtful)

A huge update!

The Blu-ray debut includes two high-definition versions of the 1986 cult-classic: the theatrical cut and a director’s cut that features a newly restored, 20-minute alternate ending!
Extras include commentary by director Frank Oz (on the theatrical version), an introduction by Oz with Richard Conway, outtakes, deleted scenes and a behind-the-scenes documentary. The Little Shop of Horrors Blu-ray comes packaged in a 40-page book featuring movie trivia, actor and director bios and more.

that is a sexy digi-book, too. Rather like Se7en's. "Newly restored ending". I want it now, dammit.

The rest of the features, though, are just repeats from the dvd. Unless there's new outtakes or something. (The old ones are on youtube.) Still, everything else is worth $20 by itself, if it costs that much.

I love that it is a Digibook release but the cover art leaves something to be desired... but it could be worse... still I think the cover will grow on me.

I normally pass on Digibooks, but with this discussing the alternate ending (which I find interesting), I'll probably buy it and not wait/import.

Yeah, Netflix is also streaming it in HD (for awhile now). Still doesn't look great.
Looks like the blu will be getting the treatment it so deserves.

This is THE most anticipated release this year for me, hands down. I can't remember the last time I've been so excited for a release!!!!!!
