Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted 3D Blu-ray Review

It looks like both Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa are getting Blu-ray 3D releases from Dreamworks - both now have (non-functioning) pre-order pages at play.com

I was wondering when and if these would be released in 3D! Cool! I think Dreamworks puts out some of the best 3D out there and will definitely be buying them!

Sigh, I just bought the Madagascar Blu-Ray last month, though Escape 2 Africa would probably be a better fit with its more detailed animation and effects.

http://www.thewrap.com/movies/column...edianavi-30428

"As an extension of DreamWorks Aimation's current strategic alliance with Technicolor, the company is entering the business of 2D to 3D conversion and is working on DWA's "Kung Fu Panda" as its first project".

So these are probably being converted by Techicolor as part of their Dreamworks deal, though if these look close to the Kung Fu Panda 3D blu-ray I have no complaints as I feel in many ways that film looks better than the 3D in KFP2.

so Kung fu panda was converted by Technicolor not by Legend 3D

I hope that "Over the Hedge" makes it to Blu-ray this year and in 3D as well.....?

That would make all of the good Dreamworks titles available in 3D!!!

Yeah that'd be cool! I like Over the Hedge and I guess I would be waiting for a 3D blu-ray if I've waited this long! Madagascar 1 and 2 will be great when the time comes as well. I have entirely TOO many animated 3d blurays, but hey they're good so whatevs.

I thought part 1 was pretty cool, never could get into part 2. I'll pick these up if the price is right.

I've been speculating about 3D editions of MG1 and MG2 ahead of the theatrical release of MG3 3D. Both MG1 and 2 are absolutely wonderful (personal favorites) and I cannot wait to see them in 3D.

Dreamworks animation is like a 3D runaway freight train. Let's hope next holiday season that DW will give us a 3D release of Shrek The Halls (heck, I'd be happy with a 2D blu-ray of Shrek the Halls!).

If they are smart they will release them BEFORE MG3 and maybe throw in some movie money.

If the 3D is as strong as it is in the Madagascar 3 preview, I'd be interested. M3's 3D is really impressive along the lines of Open Season 3D (I haven't seen Sammy 3D yet).

I might see M3, since it's set in the city and the 3D looks great. The first two didn't interest me storywise/character wise.

I know what you mean that trailer is awesome, the scene where the penguins are having the pillow flight litterally looked like my living room was full of feathers floating around and down to the ground

Yeah, the stand out moment in that 3D trailer. I'm probably going to see it just for the 3D, which is something I don't normally do.
