That's partially helpful but misses out some cinema chains outright like my local IMAX completely in the UK which is a true IMAX.

That list might be more appropriate because it should be up to date and includes the 15/70 mm tag on the end for true IMAX theatres worldwide.

But it lists the Olathe, KS IMAX as real, when it's the smaller one, though it does seem to have the same proportions to the real ones.

It also lists the Mall of Georgia as disputed when it's definitely the real deal. It's the entire reason the mall is 3 stories.

The Great Escape IMAX in Simpsonville, SC isn't even listed. Does anyone know if it's real or fake?

I've read that the Imax in the Printworks is the only real Imax screen that Odeon has in the UK. They showed the prologue of "The Dark Knight Rises" there before "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol". And that was only shown on the 70mm projectors. So I'd still go ahead with your trip. I've seen a few films there myself and have never been disappointed.

Yeah, the Printworks IMAX is a true version. The other version isn't.

Interesting, because it even says that Cineplex has confirmed that many of their theatres will be digital, but I have personal confirmation from management/ technicians (actually a few techs, who have worked for IMAX in the past, will be running the booth for those shows) who oversee those theatres that the local ones (which ARE on Warners list but not on the link) will be going back to 15/70.

Out of curiosity (), why are you curious when those theatres are so close to Lincoln Sqaure? There's even a subway stop right in front of the theater...

Sometimes you gotta settle for something less it helps to know which is 2nd best.
