The second movie wasn't too hot, but for $12.99 it's a fine bonus feature

I LOVED the second one. Then again, my school choir entered that very choir competition in 1987 in New York City and we won. So the second movie holds a very special place in my heart.

I think the first movie is the better of the two, but my wife likes #2 far better than #1. So that makes this a win-win for us I suppose.

I'm a Lauryn Hill fan (even though she has gone off the deep end the last decade) so LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 2nd one, although by a small margin, over the 1st. Both are great movies, funny, touching, and good music.
My growing collection:
#1 - Juno (2/29/12) :: #100 - Easy A (4/7/12) #200 - Simpsons Movie (4/27/12) :: #300 - North by Northwest (5/28/12) #400 - The Corpse Bride (11/02/12) :: #500 - A Bug's Life (1/3/13) |

No slipcover from Amazon. The Sister Act set comes with individual DVDs of both films, but they jam them onto one spindle. The blu-ray contains both films on one disc (thankfully on its own spindle).

I've got to say I'm a bit worried after 'The Color of Money' and 'Cocktail'. Hopefully this turns out great. Both are my guilty pleasures.

I concur, fitting two movies onto one disc is crazy. Yes, they can do it, and 98% of movie watchers don't mind, but too me, it doesn't make sense.
Bluray should provide ( or squeeze) the best audio/video presentation possible out of "one" movie (35-40mbps), not (19-24mbps). They are doing the same thing that ruined DVD...compress the hell out of 2/4 movies and fit it onto one disc. I don't like it, and hope this trend stops (personal thought). As for this film, looks like day one for me, even if both films are on one disc, what choice do I have. Always loved these movies, and owning them on Blu will be nice. |

catalog titles that don't have a ton of extras are almost ALWAYS relegate to 25 gig discs anyways. so both on 1 50 gig disc is not even a problem

I really hope this is not true. If it indeed is, then there is no lossless audio and only a few extras on Sister Act. Sister Act 2 is just a bare bones release.
