Default Happy Aboriginal Day

June 21 is recognized as Aboriginal Day in some places in Canada.
I just wanted to wish anyone celebrating and/or enjoying festivities, a great big Happy Aboriginal Day!

Aboriginal Day. The Aboriginal people of Canada are the first nations, comprised of Inuit (Eskimos) & Metis (Indians). I think there are around 1.5 million of them in Canada.

Aboriginal adj races of people, living creatures, etc belonging to,existing in,a region from earliest times,or from the time the region was first known.
n inhabitant,plant,ect of a region.
Aborigine n Australian person.
Is'nt English fun,Native American Indians could be described as being aboriginal, although Mitt Romney may consider otherwise,I could'nt possibly comment.

Wow; I didn't know that. You learn something new every day, I guess.

We have a Metis Elder coming into our work today to talk about their Medicine Wheel and he is doing a Sacred Smudge Ceremony.

Wow man...very cool. Most of the Indians I grew up with in Norhern Ontario were Great hockey players and ballplayers, and nails tough. There wasn't a chickensh*t amoung them.
