Default Universal 100h Anniversary Featurettes List?

Hey guys,

So I see on these releases they someimes have the same or different featurettes regarding Universal's 100th Anniversary, and I'm wondering, has anyone ever endeavored to compile a list of them and on which release(s) they can be found?
"You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment."

I'm curious about this too. I've been trying to find a check list to satisfy my OCD, but it hasn't been the easiest...

Well, the best thing to do if you want the answer is to try to make the list yourself or at least start the list from what you know and hope that others join in. I have actually compiled a list, but have no idea if it's complete. I have just checked the new releases so I have no idea if any of the re-releases has them too, or if the only new thing about the re-releases is the slipcover.

OK, here's what I have so far (the ones with * have not been released yet and may not be 100% correct)

100 Years of Universal featurettes:

Restoring the Classics: (9:14)
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- All Quiet on the Western Front
- Buck Privates
- Pillow Talk
- The Sting
- Frankenstein (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- Bride of Frankenstein (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- The Birds (Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection)*

Academy Award Winners: (9:35)
- All Quiet on the Western Front
- Erin Brockovich
- Born on the Fourth of July
- The Deer Hunter

The Lew Wasserman Era: (8:50)
- The Nutty Professor
- Parenthood
- Harvey*
- Vertigo (Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection)*

Unforgettable Characters: (8:18)
- The Nutty Professor
- Parenthood
- Buck Privates
- Pillow Talk
- The Invisible Man (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- Sixteen Candles*

The Carl Laemmle Era: (8:41)
- Buck Privates
- Pillow Talk
- The Mummy (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- Harvey*

The Lot (9:25)
- Erin Brockovich
- Smokey and the Bandit
- The Sting
- The Wolf Man (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- Phantom of the Opera (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- Creature from the Black Lagoon (Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection)*
- The Birds (Alfred Hitchcock: The Masterpiece Collection)*

The '70s (11:01)
- Smokey and the Bandit
- The Sting

The '80s (15:03)
- Born on the Fourth of July
- Sixteen Candles*

Why in the world is Universal not doing a full out documentary on their history? The segments are nice, but Universal history is so rich, it is just insane to not take an opportunity to embrace that.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if these featurettes are more or less trailers to a very comprehensive documentary that they are probably working on.

That or they will just edit them together and call it a day with that. There is definitely enough material to make a feature length doc out of all of them.
