I pre-ordered WANDERLUST back in May and was told it would arrive on release day (as most of my releases do) and I picked the 2 day Release Day shipping or whatever, and up until Monday (day before release) it listed a Tuesday delivery date. Then, on Tuesday, it was changed to Wednesday. I was furious, so I contacted customer service, and they told me over and over (talked to 5 people) I did not select release day shipping and they would not issue me any credits for my troubles.
![]() Now, I check my order for 21 Jump Street and it still says "Shipping Soon" and it is already Sunday night. Normally things are already shipped (for me anyways) on the Sunday before. I'm wondering if Amazon changed some policy or if I'm missing something? I've ordered easily 15 new release films so far this year and I've done the same thing I've always done and they always arrive on time, but now they seem to not be? And my Prime Membership is still intact and everything, so I'm not sure what seems to be going on here. |

I've had stuff from Amazon that was supposed to be two day shipping that showed "shipping soon" until the day before and I still got it on time. Not always, but sometimes.

Amazon seems to be terrified that people will get a movie even just 1 day before street date. I always get a shipping notice Sunday evening or Monday for Tuesday delivery.
I wonder how much more it costs them to ship all of these orders overnight on Monday, instead of shipping them 2 day on Friday and risking the customer possibly getting their order on Monday. ![]() Same here. |

On the few occasions when amazon is cheaper than ebay, I bundle things to get free shipping. Problem is it takes days to ship. Then, when I cancel, one item has been mysteriously shipped, causing me to incur shipping charges. This has happened to many times to be coincidence.

I, for one, am done with them. They rarely have things I'm interested in cheaper than ebay, even with free shipping.

+1. Between the personal sellers on this forum and other sites that hold amazing deals and better customer service like goHastings, my buying with Amazon has drastically dropped this year. I will still go there for electronic needs, but as far as Blu-ray buying goes, I rarely, if ever, do that with Amazon now.

Wow…I’m completely the opposite. I hardly buy from anywhere else but amazon. I pre-order a movie and usually get a shipped notice on Sunday or Monday nights.
Every pre-order I’ve ever put in has shown up on Tuesday. I’d rather buy from them than from ebay….and the only reason why is b/c I hate waiting for the seller to actually send the movies out. I bought 2 movies on 6/11 and they weren’t shipped out until 6/18!!! Now that is ridiculous!!!
