The Cat in the Hat (because there was nothing else playing) and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. I guess that's balanced out my bombs.

Speed Racer
Green Lantern Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle Land of the Lost Fathers' Day Instinct Mighty Joe Young Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (a few times) Event Horizon Man on the Moon Mystery Men Super Mario Bros. McHale's Navy Thunderbirds (2004) The Phantom (1996) The Stupids Psycho (1998) (don't know why I saw this one... ugh) Aside from several stinkers, there actually are some decent films on this list. Scott Pilgrim especially... |

Well it's Wikipedia, so anybody who has a personal opinion of a film as a "bomb" can just add it to the list.

(How many fans would add "Town & Country" to the list, even though that happens to top the all-time budget-vs.-gross list?) You're probably thinking of the IMDB Bottom 100, where half the fans add Mike-era MST3K episodes, and the other half add the Rotten Tomatoes 0% Club. It's BoxOfficeMojo.com numbers: There's nothing that "should" be on the list unless it got there the good old-fashioned way. (Or if it came out after the late-80's, when BOM started keeping records--Wondered why "Howard the Duck" wasn't up there.) I can see the thread-drift happening already....

I guess I'm lucky...I only did a quick scan of the list, but only Green Lantern.
I usually only see blockbuster movies in theaters, so that's why most of the movies I see hardly ever flop.

I'm lucky when I say I only saw a few of them in theaters...The 13th Warrior, Event Horizon, Speed Racer, and I think that's it...I'm picky on what to watch in theaters, so I like to make sure it's NOT gonna suck!

Like Speed Racer (well, not quite in the same way), that was a fairly good movie that suffered the guilt-by-association of movie fans going into frenzies over wacky bad-BO headlines, without taking other factors into account, and then dogpiling imagined bad reviews onto the movie for it.
Disney dumped Alamo into theaters in the throwaway "April of Death" slot to get it off the radar as soon as possible after all the troubled production headlines. (Including the early scare headlines that Billy Bob Thornton would supposedly historical-revisionist play Davy Crockett as a "coward", which was rewritten out by the final cut--He in fact plays a pretty darn good Crockett.) Audiences immediately assumed the movie was "Pearl Harbor 2" and stayed away, and just about every headline wanting to punish Disney for their '01-'05 Eisner troubles HAD to point out "Home on the Range"'s bad box office the same month, and nearly always in the same sentence. Always. Quote:

I've seen about 14 of them. Only one I really like, and bought the week it came out on BD, is Scott Pilgrim. I'm surprised MacGruber and John Carter aren't on that list. Otherwise, they'd be two more I bought as soon as they came out because I liked them a lot.
Top 10 Favorite Films: 1. The Dark Knight 2. The Departed 3. Pulp Fiction 4. The Empire Strikes Back 5. District 9 6. Casino Royale 7. The Shawshank Redemption 8. No Country For Old Men 9. The Lion King 10. The Lord of the Rings

From the list, I only counted four:
"Battlefield Earth" "The Green Lantern" "Speed Racer" "Stealth" In total, there's probably several more at the least. Thankfully, there hasn't been a movie I've seen in the cinema that I outright hated.
