You realize the Toy Story trilogy is 3 films and Kung Fu Panda 1 & 2 is two, yes?

Yes, I just tend to think of them as one in the same.

good idea for a thread mate... I will have a think about this and get back to you...

I think it should be limited to actual movies out on blu-ray though, as, how can we really rate them otherwise? We all know the blu-ray experience can be and usually is different to the cinema.

Besides I hardly visit the cinema now, with the quick turnaround to home release I feel you don't miss much. And to me, this is why we build a home theartre system with surround sound etc. Besides the replay value.

Anyway, sorry I don't want to make this cinema vs blu-ray!

This was a hard list to make when ranking them from best - worst, so I just put my top 10 in no specific order otherwise I would've been here all night switching different movies around on the list every minute.

1. Alice in Wonderland
2. Transformers: Dark of the Moon
3. Hubble
4. Deep Sea
5. My Bloody Valentine
6. Final Destination 5
7. Legend of the Guardians
8. Beauty and the Beast
9. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
10. John Carter

I know this is a top 10 only, but I wanna add Lion King as an Honorable Mention at least.

I was so torn on what to do with Resident Evil. I would add it, then take it off. Eventually I just removed it though because the strong 3D didn't really seem consistent throughout. Overall though it still is much better than plenty of other 3D Blu-rays out there.

Number one for every list should be sammy's adventure, easily. Perhaps avatar second but I havn't seen it on blu-ray just at the movies. Next up it would be a collection of the various other animated 3d features with Hugo 3d and Drive angry sprinkled in there.

Just out of curiosity, is there anyone who has actually seen sammy's adventure and wouldn't rate it as the best 3d in existence?

I haven't seen it. People should just list their personal Favourite movies in the format.

The story is the worst I have seen...couldn't sit through 15 mins...but 3D is out of the ordinary, which kept me going.

My top 10 would have to be a cominbation of movie and 3D. Basically, if it is a total gargabe movie with great 3d it won't be No. 1 and if it a great movie with weak 3D it will not be No. 1. Based on my own personal movie interests, they are:

1. Coraline
2. Avatar
3. Under the Sea
4. A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas
5. Open Season
6. Despicable Me
7. Yogi Bear
8. Hugo
9. Resident Evil Afterlife
10. Born to Be Wild

Top ten is a tough one, that is for sure. There are some other movies I like a lot that did not make the list. They are Journey one and two, How to Train Your Dragon, Rio, Deep Sea, Legends of Flight, Legends of the Guardian, Megamind, Grand Canyon (for visuals), and Beauty and the Beast.

I like documentaries, so that is why they appeared on my list. All documentaries have some major bias, but I ingorne that as it is to be expected. I like Legends of Flight and anyone who has seen this knows it is a 40 minute infomercial. There are not a lot of adult comdies, so Harold and Kumar is one I go back and watch probably more often then anything else. I would never have thought I would like it as much as I do, but what can I say, I am a softie for Thomas Lennon. I am a huge Resident Evil fan, but the 3D was not strong throughout which is why it was lower on my list, but a movie I enjoy never the less. I picked up Open Season. It does not seem to be one as many people have seen, but it is one of the better ones I have watched with the family. A define buy in my opinion. I left off Sammy because I have not watched it again since purchasing it. The story was fine, but there was nothing unique to it. If I didn't watch it twice and own it, it was left off my list.

Coraline made my list at No. 1 because it has popout, great depth, and a very unique and interesting story. The thing Avatar lacks is an original story. It is a movie I like, but with the exception of the avatars, is a very cliche and overdone theme in one aspect or another.

I have not found any superhero movies I liked. I saw transformers in IMAX and thought most of the 3D was lacking and that was when I was new to 3D. Hopefully the Avengers will change that.

Upcoming movies that are on my buy/potential buy list are: Titanic Madgasacar, Avengers, Men in Black, Prometheus, and Spiderman (for my son only).
