Default Direct TV now sucks...

Are the Satalite days no more? Is Comcast taking over? Dish Network is dropping A&E.. Thats my Walking Dead Channel. Dish Sucks anyways so I don't care, But for Direct TV to drop Comedy Central is HUGE.. I love Comedy Central and will now continue to keep Comcast which I was so looking forward to dropping when I get out of this apartment and into my house..
Movies I want to go Blu. The Ref, Open Range, Shipping News, Life As A House, Great Outdoors, True Lies, Joe Dirt, Maximum Overdrive, Pool Hall Junkies.

T.V. shows I want to go Blu Man Vs. Wild, Survivor Man, Dirty Jobs, NHL Winter Classic 2009.

Viacom (the parent company of Comedy Central) are jacking up their prices. DirecTV is trying to work out a deal with them.

Dood you are so wrong lol why don't you go read the Viacom thread for the truth. This is not a DirecTV issue this is something Viacom is doing the company that OWNS Comedy Central. DirecTV has no intention of dropping the channels Viacom sent them a registered letter at 11:23pm EST Tuesday night and forced them to have the channel off the air by midnight which is why it was removed at 11:54pm EST Tuesday.

I knew it was A something. I DVR it so it's just button click. Other then that I don't watch that channel.

AMC also has Mad Men which is an outstanding show as well.

Tivo is the best DVR and DirecTV offers a Tivo unit again. I haven't bothered getting one since the regular DirecTV DVR I got a couple of years ago works fine. It's not as intuitive as Tivo (which I've had in the past) but I don't tape all that much either since I mainly watch live sports.

Can't watch Walking Dead with Dish, and you can't watch Tosh.O with Direct TV. Viacom may be the one to blame, but both Satalite companies suck right now...

DirecTV has the most HD channels you actually want to watch.

I can't wait for season 3 of The Walking Dead to start up.

I may be an adult, but I watch Spongebob on a regular basis. I'm more annoyed that I lost Nick, Palladia (lots of great HD concerts), and VH1 Classic. I never watch South Park when it first airs, usually I watch it on demand or just buy the box set, so I'm not terribly pissed about Comedy Central.

It's pretty obvious Viacom is the loser here since they decided to also pull online programming. They are greedy even though their ratings have began to slide. Their biggest leverage is Nick because of children, which is why their Facebook is plastered with angry parents.

FIOS is the best TV service on the market IMO. Best friend works for Direct TV there service is good dont know about Dish and Comcast sucks, i used to have comcast but FIOS picture is a lot betta, have comcast @ work and there phone service is bad we lose phone service it seems like once a week for a few hours. i never had that type of issue with FIOS.

some of those channels Dish has in HD DTV does not offer, however if we count all the sports DTV has in HS Dish cannot compare

NFL Sunday Ticket 15 Channels
MLB Extra innings 20 Channels
MLS 15 Channels
NHL Center Ice 10 Channels

so im pretty sure DTV has WAY more then Dish right there as Dish does not even offer the packages which is included in DTV channel count btw. DTV has over 160-170 HD channels
