Deadly Blessing (Collector's Edition) - 1/22/13 - Blu-ray Forum

No official release date announced as of yet, but I'm assuming a December release, along with possibly Phantasm II, with Prince of Darkness hopefully paired with They Live in November.

Unfortunately, "Prince of Darkness" is not apart of the Scream Factory line... yet at least. I really hope they can get there hands on that one as well but in the meantime there's been no information other than the first batch announced. In addition, there's also the "Death Valley" / "The Island" double feature to look forward to in this line-up. It was originally announced as being a DVD release only but I think they were rethinking it so there's always the chance to see those on Blu-ray still.

Right, but I'm assuming/hoping they continue to release two titles per month, meaning that one more disc is still due in November. Prince is a Universal title and it would make sense to pair it with their other Carpenter release.

I'm sure that Prince of Darkness won't be released this year from SF.Next year...likely.If Uni were ready to relinquish They Live or Halloween films,why not PoD as well?

I don't think Shout Factory has confirmed that Deadly Blessing is in fact coming to blu-ray, yet.

No worries, it's been confirmed. The only title that may only go the DVD route is "The Island" / "Death Valley" double feature but even that may change still.

hoping they go blu as well-- would love to see those again in hidef-- I haven't seen those movies since the mid 80's!!!

Just for confirmation's sake, here's a quote from Scream Factory on their Facebook page in regards to "Deadly Blessing":

Scream Factory "At this time, the plan is for a Blu-ray release".

even though i got a bootleg of the nice looking region 2 universal with commentary i think i gotta double dip on this one. i take it deadly blessing will be coming out a month or 2 after death valley/the island since they arent collector's editions and then phantasm II

I get this mixed up with 'Deadly Friend' for some reason. Maybe because their both by Wes.

Never heard of this, but that cover art has me intrigued. I watched the trailer that was posted and I have to admit it looked really cheesy. Will anyone recommend this as a blind buy? I'm a big Wes Craven fan, especially his older stuff.

I know, in my defense this film was a bit before my time (born in 1979, so I became a fan starting with the Nightmare On Elm St. series)

How about including a short featurette on the Sharon Stone, black rose story!

The worst real Amish have been known to do is get totally bombed or chop off beards at random.

If anyone wants to check out the film before the Blu-Ray, its on Netflix streaming.
