I watched this movie last night expecting some utter crap, but I actually find this movie far enjoyable ride than Johnston's recent The Werewolf (no joke).

Looks like this movie is a re-boot of Johnston's Wolfman. It was planned as a direct to video re-start of the series. I guess Universal wants to keep werewolves in the public consciousness. Maybe if this one does well, they will do a big screen sequel. Looking forward to this one. I actually enjoyed the Johnston movie (at least until the last 15 minutes or so).

That is great to know as I want to watch this movie Werewolves are one of my favorite movie Monsters and there are not enough movies featuring them IMO. I did enjoy the remake of the Wolfman and this does look decent. I was planning on buying the film and watching as part of my Halloween night movie marathon but now I think I will just stream it as $25 seems to be a bit much for a blind buy. Though maybe if sales are good on this they will make more of these movies...Hmmm to buy or not to buy. Anyone got any suggestions

can anyone tell me the difference between the R rated version and the Unrated?
The R rated one is on Netflix and if there's a lot of gore and bloodshed cut out I would rather buy the Blu-Ray for the unrated.
My Set-Up: Panasonic PT-EAU7000 Full 3D Projector on a 120" screen and 7.1 Earthquake surround sound. Why go to the movies anymore?

Blind bought this movie and really, if your expectations are not too high (the CGI special effects are not perfect...) the movie is really good. The story is entertaining, maybe a little cliché some times, but I really enjoyed it!
Like said before, it's a kind of a remake of The Wolf Man (and The Wolfman). |
