+1

With this one, however, I will buy day one. I don't mind that the BB Exclusives scrapped the inside artwork because I got them for $10, but this one will be a day one for me.

Got my tickets courtesy of my job's corporate for helping a lot with our store remodel's fast progress a few months back!

Anyone see the exclusive poster being given to the midnight IMAX attendees?

Only 3 more days until the midnight showing!!!

IGN.com gave this a 9/10, saying you'd really have to watch Batman Begins before this, and just know Harvey Dent's back story going in.

Saw it in IMAX midnight, and was completely blown away. Great pacing, and the scenes between Alfred and Bruce were VERY emotional! Had a lot of fun with it, and will rewatch in theaters soon!

On a more serious note, my thoughts and condolences go out with those affected by the tragic shooting in Colorado that same midnight.

USA The Dark Knight Rises - Blu-ray Pre-Release Thread

Judging by The Dark Knight Blu-ray release pattern, an early December release is expected for Nolan's final film in the Dark Knight trilogy.

Personally, I can't wait for the IMAX scenes

Do you think we will get some commentaries from Nolan? This being the last movie and all.
Dr. Ian Malcolm: Anybody hear that? It's a, um... It's an impact tremor, that's what it is... I'm fairly alarmed here.

Can't wait to own this. I hope it's loaded to the nuts with special features because I'll watch every single thing they put on that disc.

Maximum Movie mode like Inception. No commentary from Nolan, based on principles. I think he did one for Insomnia.

Hmm, I hope they have separate versions of the film, one with and one without the IMAX scenes. The shifting aspect ratio on TDK always kind of irritated me for some reason.

Hopefully if they do that, we can also get a version of TDK without the IMAX scenes integrated into the film. Perhaps just put them on the special features. That would please me. Oh, and a remaster. Yessssss.

He also did one for Following (I have yet to listen to it though: picked it up for 99-cents recently at one of the many going-out-of-business Blockbuster sales).

Not the choice of words I would've used.

Looking forward to hearing about the blu-ray specs, when announced!

Me too! It's actually funny because while I believe The Dark Knight is better movie, and the Joker was a better villain, I enjoyed the third installment a lot more. Anne Hathaway as Catwoman was probably one of the best things about it. While people compare it to Michelle Pfeifer's performance in Batman Returns, I believe he gave the character her own distinct personality. She isn't as Black & White when it comes to being a villain. She worked it! Man, a December release is going to be agonizing.

The Aurora shootings were devastating but I'm surprised no one mentioned similarities to the Columbine massacre in 1999. Yes, this wasn't a school shooting but it's what immediately came to mind.

Every news media outlet that I read/saw, mentioned Columbine. Even going so far as mentioning those 2 horrible individuals that committed such a heinous act.

Edit: So how come 12/7 for the BD? That seems a little late?
