For anyone who has ordered blu-rays from Amazon Warehouse deals, what condition have they come in? I am interested in getting a couple blu-rays that Amazon Warehouse has listed as "New" but I am worried about the condition they will come in.
My Top 5 Movies of All Time:
1. Forrest Gump 2. Back to the Future Part 1 & Back to the Future Part 2 3. Braveheart 4. Halloween (1978) 5. Ferris Bueller's Day Off |

I usually buy "Like New" products from them, and even many of the those end up being new/sealed. Sometimes there is a minor defect with the case/packaging, but this is usually noted in the description. |

Here's Warehouse Deal's official description for items marked as New:

It's been my experience that if it's listed as new, it's usually mint. If it's unopened but damaged, they'll usually list it as "like-new" or "very good", but that might depend on the severity of damage. I've bought a lot from warehouse deals, and have to say that only about 50% of my orders have been described accurately; they frequently have damage that isn't mentioned in the details. But I don't have too many reservations ordering from them, because amazon has pretty great customer service.
If it doesn't arrive in the advertised condition, amazon will usually take care of you. If it's new, but damaged, the item details should specify such, according to amazon's listing policy. I recently ordered a new BD (direct from amazon, not warehouse deals) that arrived with a broken case. I sent them a note about it and they offered to take it back, exchange it, or give me a 40% refund, which was more than enough to replace the case, so I took the later. Sometimes they'll even give you a full refund and tell you to keep the product too. They seem to offer the same consideration for warehouse deals or other marketplace seller orders that they ship, as they do direct sales. |
