Here's the question: is Lion's Gate doing it? I'm wondering if we'll get it here in the US now.

It *IS* the 20th anniversary!

And the show *IS* coming to Broadway with Al Pacino this fall.

I've been wondering when we'd get this. It's the 20th anniversary and I'm amazed Lion's Gate hasn't released it yet. They've seemingly raided their vault of almost everything else.

Still sceptical about its release as its not listed on amazon.co.uk yet - let's just hope it'll get released.

It's being released by ITV and it appears that the dual format steelbook will be the only version available. They'll also be releasing steelbooks of The Company of Wolves and The Shawshank Redemption on the same day

Answer - no.

Westchester Films has it.
They licenced plenty of their stuff to Criterion.The Ruling Class,Stagecoach,Hopsctoch,Faces and Shadows were released by Criterion; I Married a Witch,Mikey and Nicky,Foreign Correspondent and To Be or Not To Be are showing on Criterion Hulu channel;and Killing of a Chinese Bookie,Woman Under the Influence,Breaker Morant seems certain to be future Criterion spines.
Bottom line : it's likely to be released by Criterion.Highly likely.

Well there releasing a standard cased version same day as this. So just have to play the waiting game til then.

Yeah looks like its just Steelbook at the moment. I thought there was a standard cased version because Bluray.com shows 2 listings in the database for this. A amaray case version is sure to follow though.

Think I said this before but Id definitely wait and see what the transfer is like on this one. This is a very dark murky film, I seem to remember only seeing night scenes.

I really like this film but Im not upgrading my DVD unless its a decent transfer.
