Hello
I recently picked this up at Amazon in the under $10 range. I considered this a "pop-corn" type movie. I popped this in last night and was instantly surprised by the PQ & visuals. This really looked good on BR, almost like watching a National Geographic clip here and there. Presented at 1:85, it really shows off quite well. But the best surprise came with the audio mix....both action and score. It's not often that the surrounds get a almost equal share of the action but with Verticle Limit it did. Not just one or two quick scenes but in several instances I felt dead middle of the action. The disc not only sports a solid D.D 5.1 but a very robust PCM 5.1 (uncompressed) that I actually liked more. I know the story doesn't win many fans but visual and sound wise this has been one of the biggest surprises in awhile. It's not quite there with Master & Commander, Saving Private Ryan or Transformers movies but it's one that should be considered in a second bracket. Just curious as to why this really hasn't gathered more attention in the video & audio area?
