Default Pokemon Movies (1-3) Blu-ray?

I love the original Pokemon films (The first movie though the third one). They are a part of my childhood and I think many people would agree with me on that aspect. I think it would be pretty awesome if Warner Bros would release the films on Blu-ray and in their original theatrical aspect ratio. I'm sure these films are pretty bad now from an adult's point of view, but I would love to revisit them after so many years. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Warner Bros still have the rights to the films even after 4kids Entertainment went bankrupt and KidsWB died? If Warner Bros has the will power to release the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films on Blu-ray, why the hell hasn't this been announced yet?

These are the only Pokemon movies I'd get on Blu-ray, plus that Mewtwo Returns sequel to the first one.

Yes, I almost forgot about that one. Hell, they could even do a triple pack for these films. The fan base is big enough that a release could happen...

I definitely support this. Why not the Celebi movie too?

Isn't that Pokemon 4ever? I think that is out already. I know Echo Bridge released a four pack of some of the non-Warner Bros films on Blu-ray recently. Maybe this is a sign of more to come?

Personally I think the 3rd was the worst one, but 1 and 2 were my favorites. I think if all the movies were under the same studios it may be possible.. but here in the US we've had WB (1-3), Miramax (4-7), Viz (8), Viz/WB (9-10), Viz/Universal (11), and back to Viz/WB (12-14) while in Japan they've all been the same studio..

I can sort of understand them not doing the old ones, but I think it's ridiculous that the newer ones haven't been since the last three have been released on BD in Australia, and the 14th movies (I say movies because it's the 14th season but they had two movies) were released on BD in Japan..

a box set of movies 1-13 remastered, each with their own disc and everything, will be released in November in Japan. Too bad the studios won't get together here in the US and give us the same sort of thing.

That would be awesome and also if they could keep all the extra features that were on some of the earlier dvd releases too.

"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas."

I would kill to see the first four movies on Blu ray. I think they'd look great in high definition and they were the best ones. Definitely hoping this happens.

I found some screenshots from the first movie online. I looks soft, like an upscaled DVD. I haven't found screenshots from the rest.

Nearly $300 is a little pricey.
