Eh, the world survived the 94 sequel, it will survive this.

I don't even have to see a single trailer or still shot to know I'm not even going to entertain buying this for a fraction of a second.

Sadly I just texted my sister about this thinking she would respond in disgust and instead she sounded really excited. I hate to think I might get stuck watching this in 4 months...

Yeah, the Charles Grodin sequel wasn't bad-bad, despite the obvious fact of it being Bob Clark-directed...

Although that was the real sequel, this is likely to be the "Worshipfully invoking the franchise's holy name" sequel, that has little or nothing to do with the original except for extending the running gags.

Why couldn't they called this "Another Christmas Story" or "A(nother) Christmas Story"? I think those are better titles.

There was already a sequel to A Christmas Story called My Summer Story that was kinda cute and another story featuring that family called Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss.

We all know it will be terrible. That makes it all the more entertaining.

My Summer Story (It Runs in the Family) and Ollie Hopnoodle's Haven of Bliss at the very least had direct involvement from Jean Shepherd both as writer and as Ralph(ie)'s adult voice/persona.

I liked My Summer Story (especially when I was a kid), but I doubt this will even be watchable. I does have Daniel Stern, so I might endure it if it ever comes on TV.
