Holy shit!!! Umbrella are damn legends for bringing this out. So stoked I can't believe it!

I wonder where they are getting their transfer from... Uk, France, Italy or Japan?

Ohhhh if they do a nice job on this and it doesn't have any issues like the odd colors, etc, I gotta have it! Can't wait for more info and it comes out and we see some reviews.

Well all I can say is that I am extremely hopeful given that it's Umbrella doing this. I have been consistently impressed by them with their releasing of titles we simply don't see by the majors yet they always handle them well. I own a few of their titles and they are comparable to their overseas counterparts released by Sony in the US (Starman, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein etc).

I have high hopes that this will be another excellent release - fingers crossed! Umbrella's inclusion of decent transfers and lossless audio (something which the likes of Madman Entertainment would do well to take a lesson from) definitely put them at the top of the small time distributors here in Australia, not to mention their titles have more recently started showing up in the 2 for $20 sales.
LATEST FOR SALE ITEMS:
Epic (US BD/DVD/UV) $10. New/sealed. Price includes shipping anywhere in Australia!

I expect this to be pretty much a port of the UK disc.

JBs listing entry has Dolby Digital in the description details.. I wonder if this is correct or not.

Would be good if the Italian audio was included too.. but it seems unlikely if its a port of the UK release, just with the added (unconfirmed) 'Eye For Horror' docco.

Well here's hoping for lossless sound and great picture, not like the problematic releases from around the world.

I'm going to put in my 3 Discs from the Anchor Bay Ltd Edition, and make a custom cover. I lost my original cover to the DVD (sent it to Jessica Harper to autograph, but never turned up and got lost in the mail), so it will be good to have them in the Blu-Ray case.

I have this and many ARROW blu-rays from the U.K. (this is not from ARROW) and many of their titles are Italian horror movies (including this one) and they use new Italian masters (mastered from the original negatives) and the opening and closing credits are in Italian not english (which has been a contraversey in the U.K. among fans). I personally don't mind this because it means the print used is originally how it was shown as well as being uncut, this title is one as well as DEMONS 1+2, HOUSE BY THE CEMETARY, CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD and more, they come in cool slipcases and have commentaries, posters, lobby cards and reversible covers

This isn't being released by Arrow.. It's an Australian release by Umbrella Entertainment.

JB always do that when they haven't got the official details. I have the UK release but might double dip for artwork

Went into JB today and picked up a Stack magazine, and they had a little piece on this disc, with a rather interesting statement in it.

" Fans dissapointed with the British Blu Rays horribly saturated transfer will want to replace it with this superior local edition pronto"

Might see if I can grab this cheap when it comes out to confirm a better transfer.

It also has a little comment on 5.1 sound in case anyone was wondering.

Wow that's a bold statement... hope they can back it up. I wonder if they did their own adjustments to it, hopefully it didn't reduce the quality.

I ordered from JB AUS, but it still says 'Pre Order' on the listing, even though its the release date today.

Working on a custom cover for this.
